Dedham photographer and filmmaker Nicole Yandon has generously offered to donate her time to safely take Front Step Portraits to benefit DCH Preschool. This project provides a positive means of connecting for Dedham families feeling the isolation of the COVID-19 crisis. Nicole has been taking Front Step Portraits and donating the proceeds to local non-profits since March 2020. She continues to receive positive feedback about the effect the portraits have had on families' lives during this difficult time.

Portrait sittings take place outside ONLY, and at least 10 feet from the front steps. Dedham town and health officials were consulted and we feel confidant the project is being done in a way that is safe and allowed.

Portrait sessions take only about 5 minutes. After the session, Nicole will email digital file(s) from the portrait session and help spread the word about the project by posting the portraits on Facebook and Instagram. The suggested donation is $50 for one portrait or $75 for two.

Your suggested donation can be made directly to DCH by clicking the Donate button.  All donations will benefit the DCH Preschool. Then, click the Book a Sitting button (beginning April 15) and scroll to the bottom of Nicole's webpage.

Not sure what to do for your portrait sitting? Here are some ideas:

• use the portrait as a special message (Happy Birthday Grandma!)
• wear the outfit you planned for a special occasion that was canceled
• make an announcement or statement (make your own sign or show your DCH Preschool pride by printing this “I  DCH Preschool” sign)
• feature special artwork or projects children and families have made at home
• dress up in costumes
• capture what represents daily life now
• use the DCH Facebook frame "I DCH Preschool"
• stage a front step celebratration for a graduation, birthday or anniversary
